This collection documents the time of Charles G. Aldrich and his time in Siberia from 1917-1920. Aldrich was with the American Army/Navy, YMCA (Young Men's Christian Association). The photos document his time in Vladivostok during the Civil War. There are photos of a few other areas, including his time aboard the ship America, etc., but the majority are of Vladivostok. Each volume concludes with key listing newspaper clipping sources. Some clippings laid-in to rear of Book 2. Leaflet of the President's April 2, 1917 War Message is folded and stored in tipped-in envelope in read of Book 1. The majority of clippings are from Chicago, Louisville, or Lexington papers.
